Applying for Aadhar card online is a simple and time-saving process. Follow the steps mentioned below for online enrollment:
Step 1 – Visit UIDAI website:
Go to the official website of UIDAI at https://uidai.gov.in/ and you will see the section Aadhar online services at home page.
Step 2 – Read the list of documents required for enrollment and collect the documents like Proof of Address (PoA) and Proof of Identity (PoI) and also Proof of relationship with the head of the family (PoR). You can also download that list for the reference.
Step 3 – Locate your nearby enrollment center by filling your state, district and area. Then it will show all the centers in your area.
Step 4 – After locating the center, fill the form to book your appointment to your selected Aadhar enrollment center. If you do not find any center near you then you can visit any of the centers.
Step 5 – Visit the enrollment center along with the required documents and the filled enrollment form that you have downloaded online.
Step 6 – Biometric authentication will be done there and you will be provided with Enrollment ID (EID). This identification will be done on the basis of fingerprints and iris scan. This will lead to unique identification. Also, your other personal details like name, address, mobile number, email address or DoB etc will be verified. If any detail you submit is fake then your card will be rejected. So be careful while filling the details and submitting documents.
Step 7 – After enrollment process, it takes around 3 months to deliver your Aadhar card or may be delayed. You can check your Aadhar status online at https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status using EID provided.
Step 8 – You can also download Aadhar print or duplicate Aadhar card from https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/ by filling EID, your name, pin code and mobile number.
